Age – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Come and enjoy Walt’s take on – AGE

Walt's Writings

People say that age is just a number
They are so wrong
Age is so much more
Age is photographs and memories
Our beginning and our present
But age is not our end
Age is all we have been through
All we have survived
All we’ve won and all we’ve lost
Age is all the songs we’ve sung
All the places we’ve been
The things we’ve seen
Age is all we were and all we are
All that we have learned
All the scars we carry
That help tell our life story
Age is railroads and rivers
Whiskey and wild women

Age is so much more than just a number
Age is our life story
