Daily Quote
A daily writing practice is hard to achieve. Many things vie for our attention and our time. Family, friends, social media and the newest Netflix release are relaxing, enjoyable, and easy. Temptations abound. But every day I write. Sometimes the agonizing grind produces one hundred words. Occasionally, a writing session is filled with magic, pixie dust and a torrential release of words. It is the sporadic reward for making a commitment and doing the work.
What steps are you taking to make writing a habit?

Desire is brutal
Desire without release is brutal.
It is a hunger, a longing, a yearning.
It is a constant ache.
It crucifies nights and tortures days. It distracts, confuses, and leaves the senses shredded. It makes concentration challenging and application impossible.
It steals rational thought.
It refuses to allow peace.
It makes every moment urgent, every second restless.
It fidgets with time. It is pure torment.
Desire without release is brutal.
But relief, when it comes, is heaven.

Love is a gift of life
Our life is full of love
We are born of love
Love brings meaning to living
True Love is a beyond words and action
It is in the sensing of hearts and soul
The spirit of love shines through us
Whenever Love finds its way in us.
When Love speaks listen well
As it is meant to bring harmony
And peace to your being
For without love there is discord.
Love is powerful
It changes the course of destiny
Love makes the world go around.
Be faithful to love.
A lack of love creates disease
When love flows between hearts
There is abundance and joy

When the morning sun rises,
Face the opposite way.
Take a look at your shadow,
As it charges the day.
Its shoulders are squared,
Its neck stretches tall.
It carries no baggage,
No weight… big or small.
With feet planted firm,
Down to earth, always grounded.
A pure reflection of you,
There’s no chips, all well-rounded.
The shape is unique,
Hugs your curves, shows your form.
It casts a shade of beginnings,
Like your own fearless storm.
