A Tiny Voice ~ #freeverse #poetry of the #spirits

Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos

In the quiet of night
Only the hum of my PC
Breaks the silence.
Still, I can hear her.
A tiny voice, crying out
In the dark, frightened
To come in, to the light
By which I write.
I tell her not to be afraid
I will not hurt her
Like the others did
She whispers, softly
So I do not hear her
Only the sighs of a child
And she is gone
Though I don’t know where
And I sigh, for her spirit
Hoping it has found
The door that leads
To eternal peace

Author’s note:  This poem is based on a true experience.  I have had many encounters with the spirit world.  I have been told I may be Clairsentient.  All I know is this little girl was looking for hope.  I hope I gave that to her…

        1. I so love it that you crack me up, Dear Dorinda!! Ha! Love your “PUSH”!!! Just what my daughter did when she started my blog for me!!! She said, I’m helping you overcome your fear so I push you so you can fly!! Only Special Friends and Kindred Spirits care enough to – PUSH! Thanks for being that for me!!! I’ve been saving some things back from posting with dreams of publishing a book at some point. Might you be interested in the results of your PUSH??? If so, I can email them to you??
Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with health, happiness and dreams come true, Dear Dorinda!!
