Nuggets of Gold

Happy Tuesday! Only 2 more days til Thanksgiving, for those of us in the States. Tomorrow we plan on hitting the road again bright and early for our trip to Indiana, where my husband’s family lives. So if my posts are sporadic, this will be why. But next week I will be back to regular posts again.

If you are celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you have a wonderful one and even if you aren’t I hope you take some time to be thankful for all your  blessings, which we should do every day!

BRAIN FREEZE

I’m lost in love, I can’t live without you. I’m lost in love, and all my dreams are around you. And I’m lost, in love…yes it’s true.He gave her a dozen roses, but she was happy with a single rose only. But then she took an extra, so the one she took wouldn’t be so lonely.

They could have front row tickets on the Moon, to hear the stars play a symphony of songs. But she adored him so much, she’d be happy with a few of his poems.

Reservations at a candlelit restaurant, but they canceled it to have a picnic in the park. He showed affection and she showed passion, it’s what made her beautiful heart.

She was beautiful to him, in every single way. He would sacrifice tomorrow, just to be with her today.

Their bond would constantly grow stronger, to her he meant so much…

Snowstorms and power outages make for some interesting challenges. Good thing the fire is burning in the fireplace, the candles are lit and there is just enough juice in the computer to compose this post. I will write until the battery runs low. Just not sure who will give out first. Or maybe the power will be restored?

The Unspoken Words

Confab With Me

With a reluctant heart,
And a crushed self,
With trembling hands,
And a hesitant mind,
She stared at the blank page,
There was so much to say,
So many emotions to display,
But words were defeating her,
Failing her in every way,
For there was a lifetime of love to weave,
There was a future that deceived,
A few pages of letter couldn’t justify,
So she left him,
Without any last words.
