Next Saturday November 10, 11-4 pm, I’ll be participating in a fundraiser for a great cause. “White Gerbera” will be one of the painting I’ll have on display at the Square Foot Exhibit. All square foot art is priced at $160 and 10% of all sales will be donated to the Old Brewery Mission. In all, we’ll be 25 Montreal artists with about 100 works of art for sale. Location: 232 Senneville Road, Senneville. Drop by to say hi, have a bowl of soup, buy some art!!

Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos


She never allowed them to see her face

Kept it hidden, and well undercover

Came to be known, all about town

As the notorious lipstick lover

Every night, around the same time

She would head out, on the prowl

Searched for the perfect specimen

Out all evening, this little night owl

She wouldn’t stop, until he was found

And when he was, he was in for a thrill

She’d don her face with lipstick, laced

The kiss of death, was her favorite kill

Every step in time matters

The first step

Often the toughest

Taken at times in trepidation

Or in full deliberation.

Every little step
Makes a difference
For in every little move
Is a power that can change the world.

Keep tiny steps if you must
But remember every step in time
Takes you closer to your intentions
Make sure to envision the best
And march forward
In the direction of your dreams
Step up!

A young writer friend from Africa had shared that she took a tiny leap of faith today in her own little way by sharing first video about her life.

Reading about it inspired me to write a message of hope and positivity to her. For her so called little step, truly will make a big difference to someone somewhere to take a step ahead in faith.

Success is a result of every bit of earnest endeavour in time.

irreparable and broken.
You’re the light in my life
and I need you.”

Darling, whenever you need the reminder, know you are going to win this fight. Because you aren’t the only one waging a war inside. You see, it’s the way you rise. The way you let go. Because nothing can hold you down. And, even though you don’t need it, I’ll help you stand every time you stumble and fall. Just like you do for me. Because you aren’t too much. You aren’t irreparable and broken. You’re the light in my life and I need you to stay with me.

Maybe that makes me selfish. But that’s okay, as long as I have you.
