Mentor – In Loving Memory – #poetry #RDP
Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos
Memories, I keep close to my heart
Though, you’re with me every day
A beacon, guiding me through the storm
Allowing my fears to fall fast away
In loving memory of my father-in-law, Don

Tick Tock, Broken Clock – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet
A broken clock keeps no time
As I lay here awake
Time moves at it’s own pace
No faster, no slower
And I watch the time passing
Waiting for the tick
Praying for the tock
But knowing in my heart
It won’t come again
It’s the missing
The wanting
The needing
That keeps me prisoner
In this sleepless land
So I wait
And I watch
As time passes

Blushing, in vivid colors
Rose, crimson and wine
An endless brilliance that shines
Against the ebb of the light

To Clear The Mind – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

To Clear The Mind
The detritus of life collects in the corners of our minds,
it piles up,
like bits of fluff and dust under the couch.
Sometimes, when we poke around in it
memories are stirred,
some good, some, well, not so.
either way,
comes a time when a match must be struck,
and the bonfire begun,
a funeral pyre,
embers glowing,
releasing,
healing,
letting go.

Dare to Dance
In the sea of sameness, I never belonged.
Painted in my special hue, the called me different, they coward, they looked away.
My skin grew callous from repeated barbs, but my drummer drummed, and merrily, I danced on.
