To all the writers out there who are working hard, who are drafting and revising, submitting and self-publishing, thank you! You are the conscience of society, the teller of tales, and the creators of myth. So, from one writer to other writers: thanks!

I Am Forever Young – A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Walt's Writings

Many have told me
That I’ve lived a full life
And I have
I have been blessed
With 74 years of living
Loving and Grieving
Learning and Growing
Winning and Losing
Writing and Rhyming
Drumming and Singing
Leading and Following
I was alive and I was free
(I still am)
Nothing could stop me
(It still can’t)
I’ve been challenged and defeated
I’ve won and I’ve lost
Through it all I kept going
I have learned
I’ve forgotten
I’ve known success
I’ve known failure
I have loved and been loved
And that, my friends, is why
I am forever young

Religion

Siren Whispers

Sunday confession

your hands slide up my thighs

a silken web

woven with desire

fingers finding

lace and soft

skin to stroke

breath and sighs, ascending

a fevered crescendo

straddled

upon your lap

questing

curious

heat

lips and breath

tangled cries

finding religion deep

within these stolen moments
