Pay It Forward 7-4-2018

The baristas at Go Dog Go Cafe are big fans of Pay It Forward Thursdays. We think it is a great opportunity to give a shout-out to another writer who has wowed us or creatively inspired us.  However, Pay It Forward Thursday has not been getting a lot of love lately, which we think is a shame. Dear reader, you are losing out on some great writing! We’ve decided to shake things up a little and the baristas will be reblogging our Pay It Forward picks for the week directly onto GDG Cafe so you don’t miss out on our favorites.

We like this idea so much that we will also reblog the posts you think were the best thing you read this week if you drop a link below. You are invited to post one link to one specific post (600 words or less please!) from someone…

“Climb” – Nayana Nair

it rains in my heart

cute-flowers-girl-house-kitchen-morning-Favim.com-74213

Three steps materialize in front of me
every day.
Step 1 : You tell me how you love me.
Step 2 : I believe you.
Step 3: I realize love is not enough.
Love is not cute always
I am losing too much to cherish the love in your heart
After that last step, I see myself fall into the darkness
that binds me to you.
Even though I fall
I clench in my fist
my hatred and mistrust for this world,
for which you suffer.
Everyday I wake up
to these three steps again.
Everyday I choose to climb them,
for you climb those steps with me,
suffer the same as me.
I will climb them everyday till I die.
I will climb them, only for you.

On Perspectives

BE SURE TO STARE AT THE CENTER OF THIS PHOTO

Savvy Raj

What seems to be, may not be

What is, maybe not.

What is an assumption, may become a contradiction.

What seems factual, may not be actual.

All is a matter of shifting perspectives.

Savvy

The above image was shared by a friend on social media …. it is not a video but simply a still image….

The question is do our perspectives shape our experiences

Or do our unique experiences shape our perspectives….

Just thinking aloud.

Daily Quote

Jo Hawk

when-you-feel-like-quitting-think-about-why-you-started

Let’s be honest. There are days, and we all have them when adding one more thing to the to-do list just about kills us. No matter how insignificant that thing feels like a ten-ton weight crushing us. It is enough to make a person what to quit. Been there, done that.

Sigh.

If I can manage it, the first thing I do is take a nap or get a good night’s rest. I don’t make good decisions when I am tired. It always looks better in the morning, anyway. I take out the list and let the scroll unwind and roll across the floor. I think about what is important, really important, and select 10 items on the list. Only 10, no more. Those are the 10 things I will concentrate on accomplishing today.

What 10 things are on your list today?
