I Have Not Lived On Walden Pond
Or Traveled On The Seven Seas
My Foot Has Never Felt The Moon
No Call Of The Wild To Appease
But I Need Not Feel The Fire Burn
To Learn The Truth About It
The Better Part Of Wisdom Is
To Know The Truth, And Don’t Doubt It
I’ve Shared The Solitude
On Walden’s Pond
I’ve Discovered New Lands
Beyond The Horizon
I’ve Broken Free
Of The World And It’s Bond
And Returned To Tell
Of The Great Beyond
I’ve Lived With A Gypsy Heart
But Not Wandered
I’ve Shared In Discoveries
Of Mysteries Long Pondered
I’ve Ridden The Plains
Of Yesteryear
I’ve Ridden The Waves
Without The Slightest Fear
I’ve Learned Of The Joys,
The Passions And Horror
Of The World Long Ago
And Still Yet To Come
While Some Deny What Is Looming,
Yet So Plain To See
The Truth Through The Ages
Has Been Read By Me
The Magic Power Of Words
Has Filled Me With Wonder
And Taken Me Places
I Could Have Never Gone To
And Taught Me What Others
Where Only Able To Dream About
The Wonder Of Words
Calls To My Heart And Soul
As I Listen To The Universe
Whispering In The Night
Seduced With History,
Mystery And Fantasy
Pen And Ink Tempt Me
To Scribble Words
On White Paper
And So,
Having Succumbed
To The Magic Power Of Words
I Have Summoned My Courage
And Reluctantly
I Write
