dancing to the music
you always lead
you call the tune
I always pay
dancing to the music
partners in fantasy
moving together
living apart
the music plays on
it’s a song we both know
holding onto the shadows
not wanting to go
the party’s over
the band has gone home
the house is empty
we’re dancing alone
