And the night cried
With a shower of tears
In torrents
When it learned
The truth about you
That you were leaving
Us for another
Someone
Something
Somewhere
The night
Threw lightning
Across the sky
At the speed
Of light
And sobbed
And yelled, “NO”
With rolling thunder
It threw hail
At the roof
And walls
And everywhere
Like a child
Who is hurt
Or in pain
I understand
About another
Someone
Something
Somewhere
And it hurt
Me too
But I had to
Let you go
I had to let you
Soar
Without me
the tears
Fell in torrents
As the night
Cried
And
So did I

Seems my soul is too visible to you, My Dear! Oh, but I guess I did put it all down in ink?? Yes, at the time – a long, long time ago, thankfully! Thank you so much for your love and caring spirit! Hubby is a very lucky guy!!!

I have no doubt that he does!!! Yes, I like to keep things on the brighter side but I do get rogue memories from the past. I guess my soul goes back to that wellspring from time to time!
