Me and My Writing….

Come and enjoy Chrissy’s – ME AND MY WRITING”

Riverside Peace

I don’t care what people say

It’s time to look the other way.

If I want to write – I will

with or without a copyright.

Poems, fiction and mysteries,

for children and adults.

Whatever takes my fancy – oh yeah…

It’s what I like to do.

My grammar may not be perfect

and rhyme is not my forte

But whatever I write –

I write with all my heart.

Grandchildren love my nonsense,

Friends enjoy a jingle.

I only write for them and those

Who enjoy my writing most.

Stranded

Please come and read Megha’s uplifting and inspiring – “STRANDED” and let her know if you had any favorite lines.

Megha's World

ashley-bean-90639Oh! why I’m here
This world built on illusions
World based on realities
World based on hope, anger, dreams

I know your intentions are clear
I know your dreams, your plans
I know how it works
I know how it ends

It’s just I’m stuck in middle which has no beginning no end
Running out of gas in a place which does not exist
Stranded in the middle of nowhere
Lost on the verge of earth
Living a dream based on illusions

People wake up
And smell the earth after the rain
Dance in the light
Smell the roses
Kiss the child
Let yourself be loved
Feel your ecstasy
Quench your thirst
Paint your own rainbows
Don’t wait for the weather to change

Feel the butterfly on the tip
Smile for no reason
Be indifferent to sorrows
Feel the tears
Hold the palm and feel the warmth

Be the company

Poem: Where Did Time Go

Do you ask the same question Mark asks in his “POEM: WHERE DID TIME GO”
Check out his blog too!

Crow On The Wire

A slightly different version published inVirtual Library.

I walk down the street

looking at my reflection

in each car window.

I see a wrinkled face,

a bent-over body

and wonder if that’s

really me.

It was just a few short years ago

I walked on the same block,

looked in similar car windows

and saw a young girl in shorts

with long flowing hair

and a bounce in her gait.

There are things in the dark

Come read Jane’s and learn why “THERE ARE THINGS IN THE DARK” that should stay in the dark!!!

Jane Dougherty Writes

Word count achieved, so time for a poem. This is for the 16th day of unreason, Jilly’s Jim Harrison challenge.

“You can’t write the clear biography
of the aches and pains inside your skull”

~ Harrison from Skull /  Songs of Unreason

There are things in the dark

that should stay in the dark,

sorrows that should be foregotten,

swept away on the black river

that flows into the nameless sea.

I take your hand in the night

and find a light among the shadows.

We follow ourselves, dance steps leading,

while the path creeps and the path winds,

but when the morning comes,

there will be flowers in the meadow.
