By Charles Robert Lindholm
She Sailed
Into The Sunset
Never Looking Back
Or Waving
Without A Care
Or Second Thought
She Left Me
For Anywhere But Here
I Suppose
She’s Happy
Wherever It Is
She’s Ended Up
But I Still
Walk The Beach
Each Day
At Sunset
I Climb Up
Into The
Lifeguard’s Seat
For A Better View
Of The Horizon
As My Heart
Still Hopes
For The Return
Of My Prodigal Lover
My Head
Knows The Truth
And Keeps
Whispering
To My Heart
And My Soul
Find Another Girl!
And Someday . . .
I May
But Not Today
