Until the dawn
Come and enjoy the seductive words in the poetry of afadedromantic’s – UNTIL THE DAWN
I will seduce you
with poetry
capture you
with prose
enchant you
with possibility
and have you
dance naked
for me
until the dawn
makes the sky
blush
and the light
perfectly paints
your skin.

Empty Rolls ~ #JuneWriting #poetry #whimsical
Come and laugh at Dorinda’s – EMPTY ROLLS – written from the writing prompt – Tissue Paper Troubles
Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos
Here we go, when will it stop?
Yet, another dastardly caper
Seems someone has once again
Run off with the tissue paper
Empty rolls now fill the stall
Better check before you sit
Cause you know what comes next
You’ll be cursin’, quite a bit
The only suggestion to give you
Is always carry a roll in your purse
You’ll never be, without necessity
Keeps from making a bad moment worse
Always be prepared, you never know
Do it now, no, don’t you delay!
One guarantee, take it from me
It’ll surely keep the flies away!

Melancholia
Come and enjoy how Christine paints pictures with her words in – MELANCHOLIA
Steeped dark
in the solitude of my thoughts
I lay forgotten
in an empty room
as if poured from a pitcher
onto smooth glass
thin
transparent
idly reach out with index finger
to trace deepening shadows
on the white wall
traveling contours
of an imaginary landscape
that I long to escape to
as twilight falls soft
silent
around me
