Arizona Afternoons

Come and read Michele’s wonderfully woven descriptions of – ARIZONA AFTERNOONS. Don’t miss this poem!!

Writing and Reflections

20180525_175946.jpg

I escaped to the land of clementine skies

A tapestry of chiseled red rock draped me in renewal

Ancient lands dotted with saguaros carried my troubles away

Up where mesas dominate each vista

gentle breezes ushered in a fresh perspective

and washed clean the stale air of yesterday

I felt my breath rise and fall

I spoke the language of clouds

I kissed my sunset intentions

I escaped to a place where even the dirt sings songs of praise

rich in spirits that wander in peace

reminding me to pause, breathe, and respond

Come and learn why sometimes, we’re just meant to leave!

elleguyence

Sometimes, loving someone
is about leaving them the way they are.
Not everyone belongs on your to-do list,
not everyone is fit to be fixed.

While we may believe that
we’re meant to leave people

Not everyone can be saved from themselves;
it is not your responsibility to save each one.
Sometimes, loving yourself
is about…

There

Be sure to enjoy this wonderful tribute and yearning for the simplicity and beauty of nature as opposed tothe “Man made” existence we live.
Come read – THERE!

Heart Breathings

I long to be there,
where the world is not held together by nails and lumber and glass,
where there are no neon signs blinking, no never-ending tracks and metal systems stuck on repeat,
where there are no glowing devices beckoning,
and narrating every move

I long to be there,
where the treetops dance and hum a whispered concerto,
where wildlife is welcome to be wild,
clicking and crackling and chirping as they share their habitat,
where shades of gold, russet, and sage color the earth,
multiplying and transforming beneath my fingertips and before my eyes

I long to be there,
where the shoreline is speckled with cattails and reeds rustling in the breeze,
where wind-rippled waters reflect the lazy streaks of sun-bleached clouds above,
where the smell of damp earth at the break of dawn is better than anything Starbucks serves

I long to be there,
