I COULD SLEEP IN A SMALLER BED

By Charles Robert Lindholm

I Could Sleep In A Smaller Bed
There Is No Physical Need
For Me To Have All The Room
Provided By A King Size Bed

But You Cannot See
And May Not Understand
The Aching And Desperate Need
My Heart And Soul Have For It

The Space Next To Me
In Bed Is An Empty Space
But It Is A Special Place
I Keep “Reserved” For You
And The Dreams
And Memories
We Made
Together

It’s My Favorite Place
In Our Home
It’s Where
I Can Still Hear
Your Voice
