Afternoon Communion

Come and savor this intimate – AFTERNOON COMMUNION

Go Dog Go Café

communionHe poured her wine

with a grin

saying more to come

as they sipped and lazed

in the afternoon silence

wine soon giving way

to hands and lips

eager and wanting

brushing her hair aside

with a gentle, manly hand

his lips writing their thoughts

on her silken, inviting neck

her goosebumps

writing an answer

he understood with more than his mind

shirts disappearing

other clothing falling in heaps

nakedness in midday air

more intoxicating than wine

pleasure of undressed souls

the divine communion

Tears

Come read Christine’s – TEARS

Brave & Reckless

Saline expressions

of ancient grief

crystalline drops

quiver

rest briefly

before slow roll down

burning cheek

caress contours of neck

leave thin pale trail

on bare skin

sink gracefully

around the curve of  breast

to dissolve on aching heart

an age of endless water

her blue phase

The Key

Come see the beautiful magic that occurs when two divergent souls collide in Nandita’s – THE KEY

A Tangle of Weeds

She was chaos
running amok with shattered dreams
painting red the grounds whereupon she stood
Meanwhile, he was the calm
who came quietly
and sang his blues

He lulled her
stoking the weakest parts of her
binding her feet but giving her wings
so she could stop running
and start flying
While she put him in a frenzy
causing his waters to spill over
awakening the storm
that lay dormant
beneath that seasoned calm

They found in each other the unturned key
Together they became harmony

she bleeds poetry

.

Her words are oxygen

filling my lungs with love.

Intoxicated by her verses

my head rests on metaphors.

Finding solace in each stanza

her writing inspires me.

My muse doesn’t write poems

she bleeds poetry.
