A WONDERING WORD – REPRISE

Perhaps
 is a Wondering Word!
Filled with uncertainties
and possibilities,
hopes and dreams
and memories
and regrets too. 

Perhaps
is a Questioning Word
that’s in love with
“What if”,
“Maybe”,
“I Might”
and especially,
it’s beloved – “Someday”. 

Perhaps
is a chameleon thought
that matches most anything
you want it too,
if you phrase it
just right.  

We keep them,
our collections of Perhaps,
knowing full well
they will most likely
keep us
from moving forward
and acting.   

Perhaps,
we should change?

    1. Ahh, Thank you so much for your sweet comment! My attempts at being clever don’t always work out this well! Ha!! Yeah, I liked the ending too! Sort of like the ending of Gone With The Wind – “Tomorrow’s Another Day” Having looked at the “Perhaps” we end up doing the same thing – pushing it off to the future!
