Come and read Penny’s poem of love and yearning!!
Have I stopped to take in the spray of the surf or the scent of the salt air?
Have I relished the sound of rain on the roof, or a fireplace embers’ glow at night?
Have I cherished a lover’s touch or lingered over the bliss that only real love can give?
Not since you.
You were my safe haven; there to protect me from the world. The night held no fear for me as long as you were by my side. Can I face the sunrise with anticipation? Or plan my tomorrows now?
Not since you.

* Day 23 of my 30 days, Post-A-Day challenge. 🙂
Come and enjoy the loving and yearning in “If You Don’t Mind”!
wait for me
when spring returns
beyond this morning after
beyond a time
I know will come
some day
when verse
has lost its meaning
rhyme
I struggled so
to find the words
we traded long ago
beyond the plea
remember
by lifetimes worn between
wait for me
if you don’t mind
in dreams
beyond this dream
. . .
Come and see if you also wonder about who might – “Remember” you?”

I’ve realized there are a number of things I don’t do anymore, some I’ve stopped doing a couple of years ago, some I’ve stopped doing very recently. Over the past nine years, being a resident of this small, oil-rich Arab country, in a way, has changed me.
Visit my home (specially back in the Philippines) and you’ll find lots of useless things there way, way too much more than those that are actually useful. I could maybe explain why I don’t use them at all but I’m not so sure I can explain why I bought them in the first place. Perhaps because I found it cute when I bought it? Or maybe because it’s purple. Or…

Come and enjoy Dorinda’s beautiful and wistful – “Until She Awakens”!!
Night Owl Poetry - Dorinda Duclos
The sun lights the sky, sets a radiant flame
Now falling to slumber, from whence she came
The night covers over, and all else is forsaken
As he nestles her sweetly, until she awakens
