There the sun shined

Just out of her reach

In a moment

That she had long awaited for

The tunnel that had been

So dark and dim

Long and winding

Finally coming to its end

Now, all she had to do

Was find the courage within

To walk through

The door, and embrace the unknown

Oh feet! Do not fail me now

Nor courage, do not stray

But guide me on through

To this ray of hope.

That I may find

All that I’ve dreamed for

And more

And stand for all that I believe.

memory ~

Come and enjoy love’s “Memory”

tornadoday

lock

make of love
a memory
that I might steal away
whene’er the locks
are lifted
from my door

take of me
the best I am
and give it back one day
whene’er my heart
recalls the will
for more

let me feel
anew
the burn
of need I shall not name
let longing come
to know me
as before

HE HAD A DREAM

Come read Keith’s Great Tribute to Martin Luther King!!

keithgarrettpoetry

HE HAD A DREAM

He used to be, he walked as a man,

Growing up as a child, harder than one could have imagined.

With strength and courage, he stood for the fight,

So many against him as he marched for what’s right.

At times so scary to speak what you believe,

Most just complain, Oh! not he.

It took a demon, the devil in disguise,

To take from him what he told from inside.

He was once a boy but grew to become a man,

To tell of his cause as he walked with the people hand, in hand.

His name was Martin Luther King,

He was not forgotten because of an ignorant man’s bullets ring.

He had a dream,

He was a man,

His dream is alive. Keith Garrett

Bunny In Black

Come and enjoy Bunny’s great “Investigative Adventure”!!!

Southern Georgia Bunny

Hello my beloved readers! I’ve missed all of you. Work has been killing me lately. But I’ve come up for air again, to be with all of you.

Due to the fact that work has been a major Bitch lately, tax season… I haven’t had much time for dating. But that hasn’t stopped me from helping out my girls on their dating escapades.

My girlfriend has been dating tall, dark, and handsome for three months. She’s practically in love with him. So this has made her oblivious. He’s showing cautionary signs that every single woman should know and be aware of.

What are the cautionary signs? I’m so glad that you asked my beloved readers. They are as follows:

1. Not wanting to meet any friends or family

2. Never wanting to be seen in public

3. No pictures or social media posting or tagging

4. Not a dog lover

My 71 Birthday.

Come and read this great post about getting older!

cancer killing recipe

So here I Am, 71 years old and alive.
I can walk slowly, talk a lot, write sometimes and I can remember most of it.
And I can count my blessings.
I’m thankful for what I have, and I’m thankful that I don’t have what I don’t need.

I’m feeling old only on my Birthday.
Tomorrow I’m going to be busy living my life and I’m going to be young again.

And if someone ask:”Are you a senior?”
I will say:”Sometimes”.

Mark Twain said:
“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter”.

I’m not going to spend the rest of my life worrying that I’m getting older.
Life is to short.
I have to get going.
I have to live my life.
I have to find more STUFF that matters.

Tom petty said:
“If you are not getting older, you’re dead”.
Yes, only…
