Come read Penny’s beautiful poem – “Dad’s Eyes”!
The blue of the sky
On summer’s morning.
The spark that touched
The corners and
Reached your lips.
The light from
Within you
Touches me still
Today.

Why do we hide the truth?
you hide you,
and I’ll hide me;
together we’ll hide,
anonymously
but if you aren’t you,
and I’m not me –
who is this we,
we are trying to be?

Does inspiration come from within or what you see and experience?
I tried to write
From my heart
Found it too empty
To make a start
Then I tried to write with my mind
Found it too full
To make coherent art
So I decided to write
What I saw
I saw you
And
Poetry flew.
How do you deal with a disappointing outcome?
