Insights from "Inside"

that snowflake

just there

hang glides

an infinitesimal

parachute

crystal bedizened

sprucely guided

by a snow sylph.

she kisses

my frosty cheek

a glacial and ephemeral

intimation

everything cold

is new again

for I have not faced the darkest night
nor heard the howling demons
that hunger for my soul

I have not felt the razors edge
nor heard the wooing whispers
tempting me to use it
to let my blood be
