DOING NOTHING IS A CHOICE

doing nothing’s still a choice
so choose you must
and choose you will

choose to empty
choose to fill
but never choose
you never will

        2. I’m sure you will have it done before then – although you may be tempted to play in fall – I would!

          1. You are too funny! Yes, I am in my element roaming the land and working in all the gardens…
Picked Butternut squash and baked it with butter today. WOW. Delicious.
Did you send me Tabasco recipe?
Tried my pickles today. Tasted like a deli pickle from years ago. My dad’s recipe. They were crunchy and delicious.
Yes, had AWESOME day. You’ll have to settle for a pic of blackberry cobbler☺ but haven’t made any yet…💝😍

        3. I try but don’t usually pull off funny!!
You have two green thumbs and like to play in the dirt? LOL!
You are hurting me, Dear with your description of Butternut Squash!! I love it. My favorite
squash. You should start working to get a world famous Butternut Squash Soup Recipe!!
That is the best soup!! Yum! Love Dill Pickles!
I thought I sent you the Tabasco Dill Pickle recipe but will put it here:Here’s the recipe for the pickles

use an 80 oz. jar of Vlassic whole dill pickles

Empty out all the juice and discard or use for something else?

cut the pickles into chunks – slice them down the middle and then cut 1″ pieces but you can cut anyway you want to.

Then add the pickles back to the jar plus 2 cups of sugar and 2 oz. of Tabasco to the jar.

(layer as you add the ingredients — 1/2 pickles, 1/2 sugar, 1/2 Tabasco .)

Shake really well — refrigerate for 24-48 hrs.

Every time you open the fridge, shake a bit and turn the jar upside down or right side up/back and forth.

It’s super easy and for us they are addictive

Blackberry cobbler sounds great too, I’ll take that – Wait, What only a photo, Oh Jeanne that hurts!!

        5. Posted your elfchen last nite for the 17th. It was available on my site. I just checked! I am always tickled when I read this because it is so cute and because this was merely your prose put into an Elfchen!! I hope you don’t mind my two cents worth at the end!!

    1. Interesting question, Fiona? I think in the theoretical there is but for life it’s more like varying shades of gray to white or gray to black. Math has right answers? Life on the other hand is relative. We don’t always make choices with all the information do we? Sometimes people hide the truth or lie or we just see what we want to see? Been there, done that!

We don’t usually think of not deciding as a choice though do we?

  1. I agree, doing nothing is still a choice. This reminds me of a quote by J.K. Rowling: “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.”
