it started out so wonderful
and ended up as home
no bricks, no wood, no mortar
no insulating foam
no roof, no garage, no windows
no backyard lawn to mow
unfazed by wind and hurricanes
or touched by rain and snow
two hearts that beat as one
two lives that intertwine
“home” is where the heart is
and you always will be mine
