Rain, Rain

Please Welcome a new Friend – Maria of Doodles and Scribbles, here is Her beautiful poem Rain, Rain. This is such a masterful weaving of words that blends the imagery of the forest and the stillness of the mind as it remembers amid a cumulous of rage while remaining unperturbed. Come walk with Maria through this lovely poem and be – “drenched in the stillness of remembering”!

This is the first helping of Maria’s work today. Please enjoy and get ready for a second serving!

rainrain-smallRain, Rain

The forest is still, not a single bird chirping
And the summer sky is a cumulous of rage
I am drenched in the stillness of remembering
Of what I have lost, of what I still have
But in the midst of the surrounding clamor
The pitter patter and the wind’s howl
My heart remains still— unperturbed, relaxed
Like the eye of a tornado devoid of wrath
