A little forest cabin

Just off the beaten trail

It’s nothing grand or fancy

But it’s me in each detail

Sitting by the fire

With a blanket and some tea

Waiting, simply waiting

For love to sit with me

Outside a snowstorm’s raging

In a world of bitter cold

Lonely hearts still hungry

Crave the glitter and the gold

Waiting, simply waiting

Lonely, fed and warm

‘Til the one who’s wanting true love

Seeks refuge from the storm

    1. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting! Yes, so true. Something Comfy and Cozy about a cabin in the woods. I’ve finally learned it’s better to be chosen that to go “Chasing the Storm”. Come visit again!

    1. Thank You, Gina!! So much appreciated from You!!! Yes, a white, winter, wonderland! The fire’s roaring and the tea is hot? Comfy chairs and a warm comforter? Just need someone to share some poetry with! Enticed Yet?? Ha! Not exactly as good as a Thomas KIinkade, but my attempt!
