HARMONY IN A MINOR KEY

An Interweaving duet adapted from “Harmony”

By STORYTELLER AND THE RELUCTANT POET

My Heart is empty,

without you

But it still aches,

and won’t stop

HARMONY IN A MINOR KEY

when I hear someone say your name,

I pray it’s not you

I turn around and there you are,

holding her

Dancing with her,

cheek to cheek

In perfect Harmony,

while my heart skips a beat

    1. Ha! Ha! Yes, that might be something we could both give in too?? I’m see a light at the end of the tunnel on my current Back Catalogging. Is there a line outside the door??

Thank you so much for your comment and kind words! Storyteller deserves the credit for being able to coax the sprinkle of words from me! Yes, that is exactly what I told her when I first read “Harmony”! I told her it was almost like an old Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers film.

    1. Love it! Too funny!! It seemed to work! Storyteller was such a sweetheart in accepting my invitation for a duet and a dance!!! Another dance? Hmm. Sounds like that could be fun. I will have to try and learn one! Ha! Thanks for commenting!!

          1. The pogo was a dance that encapsulated the punk era in the UK Charles. You just jumped up and down, like you were on a pogo stick and bounced into people. It was great for people with two left feet, like myself.

An Apt response to ‘Harmony’ I couldn’t have written it better myself and Thank you for taking this poem and weaving the Magic of the Reluctant Poet into it.
This was fun and may it be the first of many more collaborations.

          1. Ha! You are so great! A lover of “Fun and Silly”? I’m thinking I might “outclassed”, “out of my league” with the two of You. Oh well, I’m good with being the third wheel! LOL!
