STILL MAGIC

STILL MAGIC

By Charles Robert Lindholm    2-15-2017 – 3:20 a.m.

She Slips Her Hand

So Softly Into Mine

A Silent Invitation

As Fingers Intertwine

A Bond

Unbroken

With No Words

Spoken

It’s Still

Magic

Every

Time

“When I met my wife, it was so clear. I just knew. I knew it the very first time I touched her. It was like coming home, only to no home I’d ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a cab. And it was like… magic.” – Sam

            Sleepless In Seattle – Sam

Better than I was,

More than I am

And all of this happened

by taking your hand

And who I am now

is who I wanted to be

And now that we’re together,

I’m stronger than ever

I’m happy and free

            Tim McGraw

Nothing in this world compares

to the comfort and security

of having someone just

hold your hand.

The moment when her fingers

intertwine with yours …

            it’s like heaven

        1. Yes, you are so right! Little things can make you feel so “beloved” more than grand gestures and words come up short in those instances. So glad the poem touched you! That was my purpose so as a poet that makes me oh, so happy!
Hope you have a blessed day!!

    1. So appreciative of your time and kind words! That is so true. I loved that quote from “Sleepless in Seattle”. It also sums up exactly what you are talking about. I always love to see an older couple holding hands. So romantic! Thanks for following.
