In disbelief,

He described

her exact words to me

they were:

unambiguous

definitive

descriptive

emotional

heated

final

and

specific

she said,

“I don’t love you anymore,

I want a divorce”.

  1. Yes, so, so true. Sad for my friend and sad when it happened to me too! But that is life and as it turned out, for me, it was the proverbial, one door closes and another door opens. If my Ex hadn’t . left I would have never met and married the love of my life and soulmate. We never know what tomorrow will bring, but dealing with today can be hard and sad until tomorrow arrives.

Thanks so much for your comment!!!

  2. I’m so glad you and your husband were able to weather the storm! You were lucky you had someone that was willing to still try! Sorry for the “bad rerun”. I know those aren’t fun. I hate those uninspired times – like a calm on the ocean with no wind and you are stuck. I’m liking the prompts because they help me get in gear without getting a “start” as that is what they do. Keep up on the prompts!

    1. Well, you are right! It is on the sadder side of life but was true for my friend and to some extent me also. Boom! Out of the blue. I guess most people get some type of inkling or they talk about it rather than a whack to the side of the head! Glad you liked it. I have been trying out the Daily Prompt and sometimes things just start to write themselves and you have to let them go where they want to go.

      1. My husband said those very words to me about 4 years ago. Terrible memory (we came out the other side though thank God) but I think that’s why it hit me so pointedly when I read it. As I’ve been uninspired lately I am trying the prompts myself 🙂

  3. Yes, it gets right to the “Heart” of things doesn’t it. Sadly, this was a dear friend of mine whose wife just seemed to go “crazy” for the last year and a half. Reminded me of the song by the guy who wrote Kenny Rogers hit, “The Gambler”. I loved the title, “Allergic to Crazy”. I liked the lyrics.

I’ve had some experience myself. Thanks so much for the comment! I always look forward to hearing from you.
